Q: Why are you a birthworker?
A: I feel like I was born to hold space for people so it only makes sense to insert myself into (one of the) biggest days of people’s lives to do just that. I also love watching people come into their power during the transition into parenthood.
Q: What are some of your other passions?
A: My kiddo, Simon. I love to network and connect to people and learn what they do. I enjoy time with friends/family, being outside on my bike with my family, trying new restaurants and supporting the arts (theatre mostly!)
Q: What inspired you to teach dare to birth?
A: Alex :) Honestly I believe, 1000% in the curriculum and the approach that we have to empower people through advocacy. And as a fellow small business owner I wanted to be a part of something new that is going to be huge someday!
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d like to share with expecting parents?
A: When you have your baby, you will also be a newborn yourself. Give yourself (and your baby) Grace and know that your all growing and learning at the same pace.
Q: What’s one baby item you recommend to everyone?
A: I loved my doc-a-tot, or a solid stroller!
Q: What is something we wouldn’t know by looking at you?
A: I played college volleyball for 3 years!
Q: If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
A: My Broadway tunes Pandora station 😛
Q: If you could only watch one movie for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
A: I’m going to pivot to a show… I could probably watch the office (or friends, or Grey’s Anatomy) for the rest of my life and not get tired of it haha
Q: If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
A: I’ve been listening to a lot of books lately… anything romcom could probably, most recently listened to “the idea of you” and it was great (despite the hard ending), but also just listed to “all the colors of the Dark” and it was thrilling and had.
